Our pediatrician said baby can go 3-4 hours between feedings now but my wife is worried he's not eating enough. He seems content and his diapers are fine but she wants to feed him every 2 hours. I'm trying to be supportive but also want to go with what the doc said. How did you guys handle this? Is it normal to be this anxious about everything?
The worry never really stops, does it? But sounds like your baby's doing exactly what he should be doing. Sometimes the hardest part of parenting is just letting them do their thing.
Diapers sound good, that's the real indicator right there. My wife worried about the same thing at that age but our pediatrician said if they're content and the output is there, you're golden. Trust the doc on this one.

The worry never goes away but you've got solid guidance from your pediatrician. Stick with it. Both parents being on the same page about the schedule helps a lot too.

We had the same worry with our first. The pediatrician assured us that babies are pretty good at communicating when they need food. Your wife's concern shows how much she cares though. Maybe have her talk to the pediatrician directly if that helps ease her mind?
