Feeding struggles - breastfeeding vs formula

My wife has been trying to exclusively breastfeed for 2 months and shes absolutely exhausted. We just tried formula yesterday and our daughter actually seems happier and fuller. My wife feels guilty about it though. I keep telling her fed is best but shes being really hard on herself. Has anyone dealt with this guilt trip after switching? How did you get past it?
