Finally got our first real smile at 6 weeks

Not the gas smiles, not the random twitches—actual genuine baby smiles that happened when we were talking to him. I know it sounds dumb but I literally felt something shift in my chest. My wife cried. We're so in love. Just wanted to share that somewhere because my coworkers were NOT interested in hearing about it lol

6 weeks is early for those genuine smiles honestly. Most people say 8 weeks so you might have a super smiley baby on your hands. My daughter was like that and she's still the happiest toddler I know.

That first real smile hits different, man. Congrats. I remember thinking I was imagining it at first and then it happened again the next day and I knew it was real. Best feeling.
