First night home from hospital, baby won't sleep

We just got home 2 hours ago and our newborn is screaming. We've changed him, fed him, burped him, checked his temp, swaddled him. Nothing works. My wife is exhausted and crying. I'm panicking. Is this normal?? Do we call the hospital? How do other dads survive this?
