My wife is resting but I keep getting up to check if our daughter is breathing. Is this normal? I know the app said newborns sleep a lot but every little noise she makes sends me into panic mode. Anyone else go through this or am I just being paranoid?

Yeah that's definitely normal. I did the same thing checking on my daughter constantly. You'll eventually realize you can relax a bit but honestly those first few weeks are just survival mode anyway.

Yup, everyone does this. That checking on the breathing thing is completely normal dad instinct. You'll chill out once you get past the first week.
