First night home with our son

We got home from the hospital yesterday and I haven't slept more than 45 minutes in a row. The baby cries and I panic that something's wrong. My wife says the pediatrician said he's fine but my brain won't shut off. How long does this anxiety last? Everyone keeps saying sleep when the baby sleeps but that's impossible when you're terrified.
