First smile at 6 weeks and it absolutely wrecked me

I was changing his diaper this morning and he just smiled up at me like he recognized me and I literally teared up. My wife has been getting those smiles for a week but this was the first real one aimed at me and I felt like the most important person in the world for that second. All the sleepless nights and stress and fear, it all made sense in that moment. I know it's probably just gas or whatever but I don't care, I'm counting it as the best moment of my life so far. You guys get what I mean right?

Man, that gets you every time. I had the exact same moment at like 7 weeks and I wasn't expecting to get emotional over a diaper change haha. Those early smiles hit different when you realize he actually knows who you are.
