First smile from my daughter and I lost it
She's 6 weeks old and gave me a real smile this morning. I know they say it might be gas or whatever but it felt intentional. I literally teared up making breakfast. My wife was like dude it's just a smile and I was like YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. This little person is starting to recognize me and respond. The sleep deprivation, the stress, all of it just melted away for a second. Worth every second of the nightmare that is newborn stage. Any other new dads experience this? Like one moment changes your whole perspective?
Forget what they say about gas. That's a real smile and you know it. You're six weeks in, enjoy every single one of these moments. They go way too fast.
