Not sure if it was just gas but my daughter smiled at me this morning and I legitimately teared up. My wife said I'm being ridiculous but man, this parenting thing is hitting different. Can't wait to tell my coworkers even though nobody cares lol.
That's beautiful man, cherish those moments. Once they start really smiling at you it becomes your favorite thing in the world. Your wife will get it soon enough.

Our daughter did this around the same age and I was convinced it wasn't real either. Doesn't matter though because that moment is locked in your brain forever now. Welcome to being a dad.

Dude, that's not ridiculous at all. I'm at 3 months with my daughter and I get it, those moments hit different. Whether it's gas or not doesn't really matter, you're bonding and that's what counts.
