First time changing a blowout diaper, I was NOT prepared

Yeah so that happened at 3 AM. Poop up the back, all over his clothes, the crib sheet, somehow on his ear. I literally had to wake my wife for moral support. This wasn't in the hospital class lol. Got him cleaned up and got the crib changed but I'm pretty sure I used way too many wipes and probably did something inefficient. Do you guys have any pro tips for handling these situations? And does this happen like constantly or was I just unlucky with the timing?

3 AM blowouts are a rite of passage. Wait till they're old enough to help you build something - at least then the messes are made on purpose.

Dude, been there at that exact hour. Pro tip for next time: keep a second set of crib sheets ready to swap out quick, saves you from having to strip the whole mattress when you're barely awake.
