Our boy is 6 weeks and he's got serious gas/reflux issues. We're currently using Enfamil but he's clearly uncomfortable. Pediatrician said we could try a few different types before going prescription. Anyone had success with Similac Pro-Total Comfort or the Gerber Gentle? I know every baby is different but looking for real experiences, not the marketing stuff.
Enfamil Gentlease helped our guy way more than the regular Enfamil. The gas was real until we switched. Took about three days to see improvement. Definitely worth trying before going full specialty formula.
Have you talked to your pediatrician about trying a different formula or going dairy-free? Some babies need that switch pretty early on. 6 weeks is still a good time to experiment.
The gentlease stuff costs more but it's worth every penny if it works. Our son went from being miserable every evening to actually sleeping. Made such a difference for the whole family.
We switched to Similac Pro-Sensitive and it made a huge difference. The reflux was actually worse than the gas for us. Might be worth asking the doctor if he needs reflux medication too.
Gas at 6 weeks can also just be them learning how to digest. Our doc said to give it a couple more weeks before switching formulas. Did a lot of tummy time and bicycle kicks which helped.

We went through four different formulas before finding one that worked. It's frustrating but you'll figure it out. Keep a log of when the gas is worst so you can tell your pediatrician.
