How do you know if baby is getting enough milk when breastfeeding?
My wife is 3 weeks in with breastfeeding and we're both paranoid about whether our daughter is actually getting enough. The lactation consultant said it's fine but she seems to spend forever on there and then screams after. Are we supposed to pump and bottle feed? Formula top offs? Anyone have a similar experience? When did you stop worrying about this?
Three weeks in is when everyone is most paranoid and it's completely justified because you have no idea what normal looks like. But here's the thing - babies are actually pretty good at letting you know when they're hungry. She's probably fine.
