Is anyone else terrified of the soft spot on their baby's head?

Every time I bathe my daughter I'm convinced I'm going to accidentally push too hard on her fontanel and something terrible is going to happen. I know logically it's designed to protect the brain but it feels like I'm holding a grenade. How did you guys get over this fear? Does it go away once they're older?
