Just bought a second hand SNOO and best decision ever

Picked up a lightly used SNOO Smart Sleeper from Facebook Marketplace in Chicago for $750 (retail is like $1600 lol). People kept saying it's a waste of money but honestly our 2 month old sleeps like 4-5 hour stretches in it and we finally feel semi-human. I know you can't use it forever but for right now in the thick of it? Highly recommend if you can find a used one. The motion and sound are legit

SNOO secondhand is genuinely the move. Everyone acts like you HAVE to buy new but honestly those things are tough and $750 vs $1600 is a huge difference for what amounts to a 6-month gadget.

My wife swears by ours but I always wonder if it's placebo? Like is the baby actually sleeping better or are we just sleeping better because we think the baby is safe? Either way we're not complaining lol

Okay but real question - how are you planning to phase it out? Like 5-6 months or so and suddenly the kid won't sleep without it? We got lucky and ours transitioned fine but I've heard horror stories about the SNOO dependency.

The people saying SNOO is a waste are the same ones who will tell you to just 'let the baby cry' and also complain they're exhausted. 4-5 hour stretches at 2 months = your sanity. Worth every penny you saved on the used one.

4-5 hour stretches at 2 months is actually insane. We got maybe 3 hours. Did you start with SNOO right away or transition into it? Wondering if that's why some people have better luck.
