Kid's reflux is ruining my sanity

Our 3-month-old has silent reflux and it's absolutely brutal. She's uncomfortable, spitting up constantly, arching her back, not sleeping well. The pediatrician prescribed Zantac but we heard about the recall and now we're paranoid. They want us to try Nexium but that's not even FDA approved for kids this young. Meanwhile my wife is spiraling about whether we're causing this by bottle feeding. Nothing online is consistent. Has anyone actually dealt with this and found something that worked?

Silent reflux at 3 months nearly broke me too. Nobody warns you that it's different from regular spit up. Hang in there, it gets better.

Silent reflux is the absolute worst because you can't SEE what's wrong but the baby is clearly miserable. Have you tried keeping her upright for 30 minutes after feeding? Our pediatrician also suggested elevating the crib slightly.

This phase will pass I promise. My youngest had reflux and by 6-7 months it improved drastically. In the meantime take shifts with your partner so you both get some rest. This isn't sustainable solo.

We went through this at 3 months too. Got prescribed baby zantac and it was a game changer. Took about a week to see real improvement but honestly the difference was night and day. Talk to your pediatrician if you haven't already.

Does she do better when she's held vs lying down? We found our daughter just needed to be vertical way more than the books said babies should be.

The constant spitting up at that age is so stressful because you start worrying about whether she's getting enough nutrition. You're not losing your mind though - reflux really does just suck at this stage.
