My 4-month-old starting to grab things and SMILE and I'm losing it
Okay so I think I'm finally getting the whole dad thing. My daughter has been slowly developing personality since she was born but the past week she's been doing these actual intentional grabs at toys, smiling when she sees us, and yesterday she LAUGHED. Like really laughed. And something just... shifted. I was holding her and she pulled my glasses off her face and I looked at her and felt this weird rush of emotions I can't even describe.
I know I'm probably late to this party and other dads felt this earlier but I'm so grateful it's finally hitting. This is the stuff people were talking about.
The intentional stuff is the best. Sounds dumb but when they first grab at something instead of just flailing into it, it's like proof they're not just a blob. Congrats on your daughter being officially sentient lol
