Every single time we put our daughter in the car seat she screams like we're torturing her. We've tried everything, different temperatures, different times of day, different music. Nothing works. We have to drive to see family tomorrow and I'm genuinely dreading it. Please tell me this phase ends. How long did your kids do this?
Six weeks in and the car seat is torturing you both? That's so tough. One thing that helped us was letting my son hold a specific toy that was only for car rides. Gave him something to focus on besides the rage.
Car seat screaming is rough but I promise you it's not personal. Our daughter did this for months. We tried white noise, different angles, everything. It eventually stopped around 4-5 months. Hang in there.
Been there. At 6 weeks old your daughter literally can't communicate what's wrong, she just knows she's trapped and it's terrifying to her. It does get better though. Hang in there.
The car seat screaming phase is rough man. We went through hell with our daughter too. Have you tried tinted sunshades or maybe playing her favorite music really loud? Sometimes it's just sensory overload for them.
The car seat rage is real. We'd put a mirror so she could see herself and that helped a tiny bit. Also sometimes just blasting music worked. Not ideal but we were desperate.
You're losing it because they're losing it and it compounds. Take a breath though, this phase does end. In the meantime maybe keep car trips short when you can.

Have you tried some of those car seat toys that clip on? Not a miracle fix but gives them something to focus on besides how angry they are about being restrained.
