Just wanted to post this for the new guys out there spiraling in the newborn phase - it gets SO much easier. Like ridiculously easier. My son is almost a year and a half now and the first 6 months feel like a fever dream honestly. I was googling 'is my baby normal' like every 47 seconds and now he eats solid foods, communicates what he wants, sleeps through the night most nights, and I can actually take him places without a military-level logistics plan.

The panic you feel at 2am on day 3 of being home from the hospital? That's not permanent. You'll get there.

This is real and I needed to hear this. Mine is 4 months and I'm still in the 'am I doing this right' spiral every single day. The fact that it genuinely gets easier is comforting.

This needs to be stickied. Every guy in the newborn phase is spiraling and everyone over 6 months is like 'oh yeah it's easy now' which is not helpful UNTIL you hit that point and realize they were right.

The newborn phase is genuinely a different brain. Like every 47 seconds of googling makes sense because everything feels life or death when you haven't slept in 6 weeks. 18 months and actually knowing what you're doing must feel alien.
