My kid won't sleep unless I'm holding him, I'm losing my mind

Our son is 6 weeks old and the only way he falls asleep is if I'm holding him. I can't put him down without him screaming. I've tried the bassinet, the crib, swaddling, white noise, everything. My wife and I are tag teaming just to get 2 hour stretches of sleep ourselves. Please tell me this phase ends soon or I'm going to lose it.

Hang in there man, 6 weeks is still so early. My son did the same thing and it gets better around 12-14 weeks. It's exhausting but totally normal.

I'm literally in the same boat right now with my 7-week-old. People keep saying it passes but when you're in the thick of it, it feels endless. You're not alone.

Three under five here and I remember those days like yesterday. All I can say is it does end eventually. Catch sleep when you can and know that contact napping is a phase.
