Guys I know they say newborns can't really smile intentionally yet but my 6 week old just locked eyes with me and gave this gummy smile and I swear something shifted in my chest. I've never felt love like this before. Is this normal or am I just being a sappy new dad? Either way I don't care, I'm obsessed with this kid.

Dude I'm right there with you. Everyone tells you newborns can't smile on purpose but then they do it and it changes everything. That moment is worth all the sleepless nights.

Man that's the real deal right there. People say it's just gas but you know your own kid. My son did the same thing at 6 weeks and locked eyes with me and I swear something just clicked. You're not imagining it.
