Anyone here in Portland or nearby (Beaverton, Lake Oswego, etc)? I'm on paternity leave with my 4-month-old and going absolutely insane. Would be cool to meet up at a park or something with other new dads who actually understand what this is like. My friends without kids are getting tired of hearing about sleep regressions I think. Let me know if there's interest and I can set something up!
Paternity leave is the perfect time to build some local dad friendships honestly. I regret not doing more of this when I was on leave with our first. By the time I went back to work I was already kind of isolated.
Lake Oswego dad here checking in. Always looking for people to grab coffee with while the kids play at the park. The transition back to work is way easier when you've got even one other dad you know.
There's a Portland Dads group on Facebook that's pretty active if you haven't found it yet. They do monthly meetups at various parks. Fair warning though, you'll probably be the youngest kid there by several years but that's not necessarily bad.

I'm in Beaverton with a 6mo and a 2yo. Would definitely be interested in connecting with other dads in the area. My wife's been pushing me to get out more instead of just doing the solo stroller walks around the neighborhood.
