RANT: The judgment at the pediatrician's office

Took my 4-month-old in for a routine checkup. I mentioned we've been letting him sleep in the bassinet in our room (because honestly it's easier at night) and the pediatrician immediately started talking about SIDS and independence and sleep training. Lady, he's 4 months. We're not doing anything unsafe. Why is there so much judgment around how you sleep with your own baby?
