Rant: Why is everything designed for right-handed people when you're holding a baby

I'm left-handed and I hold my kid on my left side like most people do. But then I try to grab wipes with my right hand (awkward), adjust his head with my right hand (he gets mad), reach for stuff on shelves - everything is just backwards. This is so petty but I'm genuinely frustrated. Wife doesn't get it because she's right-handed lol

Right?? I'm left-handed too and this was such an unexpected pain point. Diaper stations are all set up for rightys. Holding the kid on the left side is so natural but then you can't reach anything.

This is such a specific complaint but now that you mention it I see it everywhere. Every changing table, every sink setup, everything assumes right hand dominant.

I switched to holding my daughter on my right side specifically because of this. Felt weird for a month but solved like 90% of the reach issues.

Try mounting a small shelf or caddy on the left side of wherever you usually sit with the baby. Keeps everything within arm's reach.
