Sleep deprivation is no joke

My son is 3 weeks old and I don't think I've had more than 2 hours of consecutive sleep in days. I know everyone says 'sleep when the baby sleeps' but that's easier said than done. I keep hearing random noises at night thinking something's wrong. Is this normal? When does it get better?
