Sleep deprivation is real and it's destroying me
Been up for 36 hours straight between my newborn and work. My son has reflux so he spits up constantly and refuses to sleep lying down. We've been holding him most of the night. My wife and I are basically taking shifts now. Someone told me it gets better around 3 months but I don't know if I can make it that long. How do you guys deal with the sleep thing? Is there anything that actually helps besides just waiting?
36 hours is brutal. The reflux thing is rough - we went through that with our second kid. Hang in there, it does get better usually around 4-5 months. Sleep when the baby sleeps is cliche but real.
