Sleep schedule question for 6 week old

My daughter seems to have her days and nights completely backwards. She's wide awake at 2am and passes out at 6am when I need to get ready for work. Everything I read says this is normal but I'm running on fumes. Has anyone dealt with this? When did your baby start sleeping at normal times? My wife thinks I should be doing more night shifts but I have a big presentation Tuesday.
