Sleep training at 4 months - too early or nah?
We've been co-sleeping with our son since he was born and I love it, but my wife is exhausted (understandably) and wants to start moving him to his own room and getting him on a real sleep schedule. I read some stuff online and people say 4 months is too early but others swear by starting around now. We don't want to do Ferber or anything super harsh, but some kind of gentle method maybe?
What's your timeline been for sleep independence? Know I'll probably get flamed for asking this but genuinely unsure.
Honest question: are you waking up when he wakes up, or is your wife doing most of the nighttime stuff? Because if she's the one actually getting fragmented sleep while you're co-sleeping comfortably, the conversation becomes a lot clearer.
