This is insane. Hes either eating, pooping, or screaming and when hes asleep I just stare at him to make sure hes breathing. My wife is trying to rest but Im way too amped up. Is this normal? When does it get easier? Also why is there so much yellow poop?
This is the hardest part. Three days in and everything feels impossible and permanent. It's not. By week two you'll start feeling more human. By week four you might actually have moments where you're not terrified.
Man, that staring thing is totally normal. I'm three months in and I still do it. You're running on adrenaline and probably won't sleep properly for a few more weeks, but it gets better. Just try to sleep when he sleeps, even if it's weird timing.

48 hours is brutal. Real talk though - you need to sleep. I know it sounds impossible but your partner needs to take a shift and you need to actually close your eyes for more than 20 minutes. You're gonna burn out fast if you don't.
