This is insane. How are people doing this? My wife is nursing every 2-3 hours and I'm trying to help where I can but honestly I'm useless at night. Last night I tried to change a diaper at 3am and could barely function. I've never been so tired in my life. Everyone said it would be hard but this is a whole different level. Does it actually get better or is this just my life now?

Those first few weeks nearly broke me too, man. It does get easier though, I promise. Try to catch sleep whenever she sleeps, even during the day if you can. And be honest with your wife about how you're feeling - she's probably exhausted too and you guys need to lean on each other.
