Son won't sleep unless I'm holding him. Is this normal at 3 weeks?

My wife keeps saying he'll grow out of it but I'm exhausted. The second I put him down in the bassinet he loses his mind. I've tried warming up the mattress, white noise, everything. Should I just accept that I'm a human pacifier for the next few months or is there something I'm missing here?

That's completely normal at 3 weeks. He basically just spent 9 months attached to your wife, so being held is his comfort zone. It gets better, I promise.

Yeah man, that's just how they are that young. Mine did the same thing. The bassinet warmup trick helps a little, but honestly just riding it out for a few more weeks makes the biggest difference.
