The feeding argument that broke us (for a day)
So my wife is exclusively pumping and I'm handling night feeds with a bottle so she can get some sleep. Yesterday she suggested I warm the bottle in warm water instead of the warmer we've been using, and I asked why the warmer exists if that's better. She took it as me criticizing her feeding knowledge and suddenly we're arguing about whether I think she's a bad mother and I'm just standing there like "...I was asking a question about temperature settings?"
We made up but holy shit the emotional stakes of everything baby-related feel so HIGH. Like nothing is just a simple logistics discussion anymore. Anyone else hitting unexpected friction points with their partner over baby stuff?
Oof this is such a dumb argument to have when she's barely sleeping. The bottle warmer vs water method thing isn't actually about the method, it's about both of you being fried.
The warmer exists because some people prefer it but it's definitely not the best method lol. Your wife was actually giving you good advice and you made it weird.
