She wrapped her tiny hand around my finger this morning and I completely lost it. Wife found me in the nursery just standing there tearing up like an idiot. I thought I was prepared for all this dad stuff but nothing really prepares you for how it actually feels. Best moment of my life so far.

Man, those moments hit different. I remember when my daughter first grabbed my thumb and I just stood there like an idiot trying not to cry. Wife walked in on me the same way you're describing. Best feeling in the world.

Dude, that's the stuff right there. Wait until she actually recognizes you and gives you a real smile. You're gonna need a tissue. These early days go so fast, soak it all in.

This is exactly why I love being a dad. Nobody tells you about these moments before you have kids. Cherish it because before you know it she'll be telling you you're doing everything wrong.
