Tips for bonding with newborn when mom is doing all the feeding?
We're exclusively breastfeeding and honestly my wife and the baby have this bond that I feel like I'm on the outside of. I do diapers, baths, and hold him when he's fussy but it feels like she's got the important job. How do other dads build that connection when the baby needs mom for food? Trying not to feel resentful but some days I do.
I felt the exact same way at first. What helped was skin to skin time, talking to him constantly about what we're doing, and just being the dad who's always there when mom needs a break. That bond builds different but it builds strong.
