I know newborn smiles are just gas but I'm desperate for the real deal. My boy is 3 weeks and I keep trying to get that first real smile. Dad friends keep telling me it's coming soon but every day feels like forever. When did it happen for you guys? Need something to look forward to.

Three weeks is still early! Most babies really start smiling around 6-8 weeks. When it happens you won't have to guess whether it's gas or real, you'll just know. Gets me thinking about those early days.
The real smile comes and it'll be like nothing else, trust me. My daughter was about 6-7 weeks when she gave me her first real one and I literally cried. You're so close.
