When did your baby start smiling at you?

My daughter is 6 weeks and we got our first real smile today. It destroyed me. I cried like a baby myself. Everyone says the newborn phase is hard but this moment made everything worth it. Now I'm obsessed with trying to get her to smile again. Do they smile more as they get older? When does the interaction get better?

6 weeks! You're in it now. Wait until the first laugh, it's a whole different level of love you don't even know exists yet.

That first real smile will absolutely wreck you. I wasn't ready for how much that tiny human could make me feel. Congrats man, that's a huge milestone.

My daughter smiled at me around 8 weeks and I literally called everyone I knew to tell them. Save that moment, take a photo or video if you haven't already.
