When did your baby start smiling back at you?

My daughter is almost 3 months and just started doing these genuine smiles when I talk to her and it absolutely destroyed me in the best way. Like I know it's probably just gas or reflexes but it feels so real. Made all the sleepless nights worth it in that moment. When did yours start doing this?

That first real smile is something else, man. Everything clicks in that moment. Just wait until she laughs at something you do, it's game over.

Those early smiles are literally the best thing. At 3 months you're right in the sweet spot where it's still new enough to feel magical.
