When did your baby start tracking objects with their eyes?

My son is almost 2 months and I swear he's been following my phone light and my face a little bit. Is this actually tracking or am I just seeing what I want to see? What milestones should I be looking for around this age?

Almost 2 months and already tracking. Before you know it he'll be grabbing stuff and then rolling over. This first year goes by crazy fast so soak it in.

That's totally normal. He's probably more aware than you think at this point. Try moving something across his field of vision slowly and watch him track it. These little moments are so cool.

Yeah, 2 months is about right for when they start tracking things. My son was doing that around the same age. It's wild to watch them start seeing the world instead of just existing in it.
