When do you introduce a bottle?

We've been exclusively breastfeeding for 2 weeks and my wife wants to start introducing a bottle so I can help with feeding. But we read somewhere you're supposed to wait 3-4 weeks to avoid nipple confusion. She's exhausted and I want to help. What's the real deal here? Anyone done this earlier without issues?

Started at 3 weeks with one of ours and it went smooth. The key thing is don't stress if baby rejects it at first - some need a few tries. We had way less drama when we didn't make it a big deal. Your wife wanting to do this is a sign she needs a breather, which is totally valid.
Wait, only 2 weeks? That seems really early to me. I'd talk to your pediatrician but I think most recommend 4-6 weeks minimum. Breastfeeding can get messed up if you introduce bottles too quick.
