Our son is 2 weeks old and makes these crazy grunting and squeaking sounds all night long. He's not crying or seeming uncomfortable but it's keeping us up. Is this normal? Should we be worried? My wife is freaking out a bit.
Totally normal at 2 weeks, man. My son did the exact same thing and it drove me nuts at first. Turns out newborns are just noisy sleepers and he'll likely calm down in a few weeks. Hang in there.
The grunting phase is rough when you're already running on fumes. Those sounds will fade soon enough, I promise. Try white noise or a fan if it helps you sleep through it.
Dude, this is totally normal. My son did the exact same thing at 2 weeks. Turns out babies have really noisy sleep patterns and they're basically just clearing their airway. If he's eating fine and gaining weight, you're golden. The grunting stops eventually, I promise.
Totally normal stuff. The grunting is usually just them working their digestive system and getting used to breathing. As long as he's feeding well and has good color, I wouldn't stress. Hang in there, the sleepless nights get easier to handle.

Yeah man, newborns are basically little squeaky toys. Mine still does this at 3 months and I've just accepted it as background noise now. Make sure he's not too cold or too hot though, that can make it worse.
