Anyone else doing a backyard garden with little kids?

Starting a veggie garden with my 4 and 7 year old this spring. We cleared out a spot behind the garage and built some raised beds from cedar. Got tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, and green beans going right now. My younger one is obsessed with watering them every single day even when it rains. The older one keeps checking for tomatoes like they're gonna grow overnight. It's honestly more work than I thought but the kids are learning something and they're actually eating vegetables without complaining so I'm calling this a success so far.

That's awesome, man. Cedar raised beds are the way to go. My kids love watching stuff actually grow from seeds, way better than any screen time.

This is such a cool project. My son's only 1 so I'm not there yet, but I'm definitely taking notes on this for when he's old enough to dig around.

We did tomatoes last year and the kids were so pumped to pick them. Fair warning though, you'll probably end up watering it way more than you planned, but they'll love helping.
