Anyone else doing the camping trip thing next month?

Planning to take the family out for a long weekend in the mountains. Got a new Coleman stove I want to test out and was thinking about trying to cook some actual meals instead of just hot dogs and beans. Has anyone done cast iron camping before? Seems like it could be pretty good but I'm worried about getting it clean out there. Any tips?

That Coleman stove is solid. I've got the same one and it performs great. Mountain camping is the best way to reset. What part of the mountains are you heading to?

Nice, I love that you're getting the new gear ready. My family loves camping but my youngest still gets spooked at night in a tent, so we're doing more car camping right now. Either way it's worth it.
