Anyone else doing the whole garden thing for the first time?
First time gardening and I'm already in way over my head. Planted tomatoes, peppers, and zucchini. Everything seemed to be going great until I realized I planted the tomatoes too close together and now they're all fighting for space. The zucchini is actually thriving which is nice. Question for the veterans - how do I keep the squirrels from eating everything? Considering just building a cage around the whole thing at this point. Also my soil pH might be off? This is more complicated than I thought it would be.
First timer here too but I'm tackling it with my kids and we're honestly just experimenting and seeing what survives. The failure is kind of the point, teaches them that not everything works the first time.
