Anyone else doing the whole sourdough starter thing or is it just me?
Got really into bread baking during the pandemic and I'm still on it. Been feeding my sourdough starter for like 8 months now. Made a really good boule last weekend with some whole wheat mixed in. The crumb structure came out perfect. My wife keeps telling me to stop making so much bread because we can't eat it fast enough but I don't think that's a real problem. Might try ciabatta next.
The sourdough life is real. My kids think it's hilarious that I have to 'feed' the starter like it's a pet. But honestly the process is pretty meditative when you've got time to do it right.
