Anyone else's kids refuse to hike anymore?

My kids (8 and 11) used to love hiking. We'd do trails all the time. Now? Suddenly every trail is 'boring' and their legs are 'too tired' after 5 minutes. I know it's not the distance because they'll play video games for 4 hours straight without complaining about fatigue.

I'm not trying to force them or anything, but I'd like to do SOMETHING outdoors that isn't just standing in the backyard. Anyone else dealing with this phase? What actually works for getting them interested again?
