Anyone else smoke meat for like 14 hours straight?

I started a brisket at 6 AM and didn't pull it until 8 PM. My family loved it but man I'm exhausted. Standing in my backyard all day was somehow relaxing and miserable at the same time. Would do it again next weekend.

14 hours is the minimum for a proper brisket. The exhaustion is real but that feeling when everyone's complimenting the meat makes it worth it. I do the same thing most weekends.

That's dedication right there. I tried smoking a brisket once and gave up at hour 8. Props for going the full distance.

This is the way. My family knows Saturday or Sunday means smoke day. They get it now and actually look forward to it. The payoff is worth the time investment.
