Art project gone wrong = unexpected masterpiece

So my 5yo was supposed to be doing a watercolor thing and knocked over like 4 colors into one cup and just started going wild with it on the paper. Looked like chaos. I was about to ask her to start over and then... actually it looks kind of cool? Like legitimately cool, not just "cool because kid made it."

Hung it up and everything. Sometimes the accidents are better than the plan, I guess.

Watercolor disasters hit different. The fact that your kid might have accidentally discovered a cool technique is actually kind of beautiful when you think about it.

My 5yo did something similar last week and created what looked like a muddy brown blob. Called it 'angry storm' and was so proud. That brown blob is now on our fridge permanently.
