Backyard obstacle course on a budget
Built one this past weekend with stuff we already had:
- Pool noodles duct taped between trees for crawling
- Hula hoops laid out for jumping
- Old ladder for climbing
- Cones for weaving
- Balance beam made from a 2x4 and some blocks
Kids (7, 10, 11) are OBSESSED. Literally set up a "competition" and keep trying to beat their times. Cost me like $15 for the cones. Way better than sitting inside.
Pool noodles are criminally underrated for this stuff. We've made everything from balance beams to javelin throws with them. Plus they're like five bucks.
