Backyard pizza oven build - disaster or delicious?
Started building a brick pizza oven in the backyard 3 weeks ago. Got the plans off YouTube which was probably a mistake. My mortar ratio was off, had to redo a whole section. Finally got it done last weekend and made our first pizza. It was simultaneously amazing and kind of lopsided. Tastes great though and the kids think I'm a genius. Spent way more time on this than I thought but no regrets. Planning to host a neighborhood pizza night next month.
A brick pizza oven sounds amazing but also seems like it could go wrong in a lot of ways. Are you worried about it catching fire or exploding or is that not really a thing if you build it right?
