Backyard Vegetable Garden Update

Started a garden 3 months ago mostly because my 7 year old wanted to grow tomatoes. We planted tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, beans, and lettuce. It's actually producing now and he's so proud. He checks it every morning before school. We already made salads with the lettuce and tomatoes. Next year I want to expand it. Who else gardens with their kids? Any beginner mistakes I should avoid for year 2?

That's awesome, man. My 7 year old did the same thing with tomatoes a couple years ago. Now he actually eats vegetables which is a small miracle in itself.
