Baking bread with the kids - sourdough starter update

So I started a sourdough starter like 3 weeks ago and honestly it's become this weird family project. The kids take turns "feeding" it (my 6yo calls it "giving it breakfast"), they've named it (it's called Bob, which tracks), and they're genuinely interested in why the bubbles appear. This weekend we're doing our first actual loaf. I'm not holding my breath for it to turn out edible but the process has been really cool to do together. Also my kitchen smells like a bakery which is a nice bonus. Anyone else do sourdough with their kids or am I overthinking this whole thing?
